Both great songs, E & J. One of my favorite Christmas is Barbra Streisand's "The Best Gift" which gets wrapped up in all my emotions of Christmas AND the five births of Hawkley children that are so close to Christmas. I can never hear that song without bawling my eyes out.
What our deepest self craves is not mere enjoyment, but some supreme purpose that will enlist all our powers and will give unity and direction to our life. We can never know the profoundest joy without a conviction that our life is significant--not a meaningless episode.
